After very heavy rains in May and August 2014, 30% of Bosnia and Herzegovina was affected by devastating flooding. More than 100,000 homes and buildings were destroyed by the flooding including the children’s day care center in Olovo.

The day care facility was a safe place for children between the ages of 6 and 15 years old. In the center, they could play, do their homework and participate in sports. With this immediate assistance project, the center was completely renovated so that the traumatized children could quickly return to a place where they feel safe and can have a normal daily routine. The children also received psychological counselling.
