The construction of wells means access to safe and clean water for all people (UN Sustainable Development Goals / SDG #6) in a region that suffers from water shortages and poor sanitation. Water improves the quality of life, health and well-being of individuals and communities. This is the most important prerequisite for sustainable development of societies in all countries.

The well project in the village of Gouye Kabe includes four approaches: access to clean water, solar powered operation,  charging possibility for small appliances, and income generation for the population.
